Rest and relaxation in the mountains of Sant Llorenc

Swiss confederates generally like to take it easy. In fact, I can’t imagine anything more peaceful than a cosy alpine cabin. Nevertheless, the Swiss bride and bridegroom, Daniela and Mauro, still chose to spend their wedding on Majorca because this is where sun and Mediterranean flair can be combined with peaceful seclusion.

The couple opted to celebrate at the ‘Ses Voltes’ finca near Sant Llorenc. Fincas located in this eastern part of Majorca are far from the hustle and bustle and very often quite rambling. I have no idea how these manor houses could be found in the pre-GPS era and I’m glad that I always get my bearings straight before I set off on a photography mission.

As a wedding photographer, it strikes me time and again how a peaceful atmosphere takes such a positive effect on the wedding guests. Everyone willingly stepped in front of my camera lens for some relaxed picture taking – and this is clearly visible on the wedding photos!

It turns out that the wedding party took advantage of the finca’s remote location. With no neighbours in sight, the Swiss guests partied into the Mediterranean night in a casual and spontaneous way.
